The Glasgow accent

David McC was born in the Kelvinside/Maryhill area of Glasgow where the accent is relatively refined. The accent of the rough end of Glasgow is all but unintelligible to other English-speaking nationalities. David used to copy it to annoy his mother. You can hear it in the YouTube clip someone posted a while ago, of his appearance on a show called 'Noel's House Party' (November 1992: David appears at about 18 minutes 35 seconds into the show).
