A black man on death row is put to death after 20 years. Is the cold-blooded killing of a repentant criminal the way a civilised country should behave - even towards people who have been involved in murder? Does matching evil with evil make the executioners and those who ordered it worse criminals? Is the state-sponsored killing spree, now embarked upon, justice deferred, or obscene and unnecessary vengeance?
